It has already formed several major companies in each camp, including Anker, Belkin, Jabra, and Poly along with the renowned PC partners Dell, Lenovo, and Samsung. The move beyond the PC could test Intel's intention to keep Evo branding simple. Standards such as Bluetooth updates on schedules differ from those of Evo, establishing backwards compatibility communication challenges. However, thanks to an industry consortium, major upgrades to cable and cable technologies are rare; identifying Evo generations by number (Evo 3) or year (Evo 2022) would not affect it, and could even improve its messages.

Intel has noted that the functionality, which includes features such as joining iMessage threads on a Windows PC and using almost any device as a second screen, will lead to more Evo devices later this year.
