First, make sure you are running iOS 13.1 or higher on your iPhone and iPadOS 13.1 or higher on your iPad. Go to Settings, and then General. Tap on Software Update to check for the latest update. Open the Photos app, and make sure you have the video you want to edit in your library. From your library, tap the video to open it, and tap the Edit link in the top right corner.

At the edit screen, you can cut the video. At the timeline at the bottom, drag the left and right sliders in or out to cut your video. Press the Play button to play your trim clip (Figure A).

To change the lighting, highlighting and associated elements, tap the Switch icon on the toolbar on the left. On the right, tap on the wand icon to apply automatic light corrections to your video. For manual control, tap on the images for highlight, scene, shadow, contrast, black dot, suction, warmth, color, sharpness, definition, noise reduction, or vignette. For each control, slide the slider on the controller directly to increase or decrease the effect (Figure B).

Tap on the third image, and you can select different aspect ratios for the video, such as 16: 9 or 4: 3. If you do not like the rotation or rotation ratio changes you have made at this stage, tap the Reset link at the top of the screen to return the video back to the aspect ratio previous size and view (Figure E).
