One of the biggest pain points of using WhatsApp for years is the inability to transfer conversations between iPhone and Android phone. So far, if you decide to turn around, you would have to start mostly without chat history on the other platform, or use a handful of tools to move your stuff over without a guarantee of success.

Fortunately, WhatsApp is now add a feature to move your conversations easily from iPhones to Android phones. However, the feature will only be compatible with phones running Android 12, the latest version of the OS.

To stream your conversations, you'll need a USB-C to Lightning cable, which will be replaced with last and this year's iPhone models. Once you have connected both phones, follow the process below:

  • Open WhatsApp on your iPhone.
  • go to Options> Conversations and tap on the Transfer chats to Android choice.
  • WhatsApp prepares your chat backup.
  • When you set up your Android 12 device, you will be asked if you want to transfer your WhatsApp history.
  • You can scan the QR code displayed on the screen to start the movement.
