The 2022 edition of the smaller MacBook Pro offers more storage and a more flexible CPU, but the magic keyboard alone is well worth the price.

Apple has developed its 13-inch MacBook Pro with a few new features selected that will make the device more attractive to business users. Announced on Monday, the new MacBook Pro 2022 will double the storage capacity for the same price, while the more expensive variants are powered by the latest 10th generation Intel Core processor. However, the biggest improvement comes with keyboard permission. Jettisoning the infamous butterfly keyboard, Apple has replaced the unit with the scissors-based magic keyboard. Let’s look at the different options.

Apple will sell four editions of the 13-inch MacBook Pro ranging in price from $ 1,299 to $ 1,499 to $ 1,799 to $ 1,999. Of course, you can tweak each edit with different options for storage, memory, and CPU. Storage capacity is doubled on each model, between 256GB and 1TB. You can get that up to 2GB for all four and as much as 4TB for the two most expensive models.

The first two versions come with 8GB of memory, though you can upgrade that to 16GB. The two most expensive ones come with 16GB, and you can upgrade that to 32GB. The two most expensive models still use Intel's 8th generation Core i5 processor. But both pricier editions feature the latest 10th-generation Intel Core i5 processor.

The biggest improvement, however, is the keyboard. All four models now come with the new Magic Keyboard, a relief for those who did not like the older butterfly keyboard, which was heavily beaten for its poor build, its sensitivity, and its vulnerability to dirt and dust. Responding to the problems and criticisms of the older keyboard, Apple has updated the 16-inch MacBook Pro and the 13-inch MacBook Air with the easier-to-use magic keyboard .

There are only two real downsides to the 2022 MacBook Pro. Wireless technology is still stuck at Wi-Fi 5, or 802.11ac, replacing the latest Wi-Fi 6. And the camera still runs at 720p.

Based solely on the new keyboard, however, the 2022 MacBook Pro is a great choice for any business user who wants to buy a powerful MacBook. The extra storage, more memory, and faster CPU are all icing on the cake. But even people with a newer MacBook Pro who have struggled with the keyboard should consider the latest model.

If price is a barrier, you may want to consider a new MacBook Air. However, that decision depends on the type of work you need to do. The MacBook Pro had always been increasingly regarded as an over-the-air tool, making it more suitable for video and image editing and other CPU-intensive and graphics-intensive processes. For less challenging tasks, the Air is likely to be enough, especially since the latest models offer Intel's 10th generation Core processor.
